Curriculum

The Master of Science program requires 36 credits, broken down in the following categories:

Public Health Core

  • PHC 6937: Introduction to Public Health for the Health Professions (0 or 3 credits)

PHC 6937: Introduction to Public Health for the Health Professions is not required for students who hold a CEPH-accredited MPH degree. Credit taken will count toward general elective credit.

Statistics and Data Management (8 credits)

Writing Series (2 credits)

Ethics (2 credits)


Elective Courses (5 credits)

Epidemiology Electives (2-3 credits)

Choose any course with significant epidemiological content. Any of the above listed courses not already taken for credit can also apply to this section.

General Electives (2-3 credits)

Choose any course relevant to your interests or career goals. Any of the above listed courses not already taken for credit can also apply to this section.


Thesis Research (4 credits)
